Seems as when Microsoft upgraded the UI in Office 365 they forgot the old technical email adress contact field. Had an admin account where it reads the value from the new alternate email field – and hides the old one.
So when I tried to change it – it wouldn’t change. It would still show the value in the new email address field no matter what (and not the old field which was the one I had to change)!
How to solve it:
- Go to the Azure UI (click on Azure AD button in Office 365)
- Go to Users – Select the admin account
- Click on “profile”
- Scoll to the bottom – change both email adresses…. The hidden/missing field is there…
